If you can, yes. An empty house is the easiest refinishing job there is: no furniture to move, the crew works straight through, and you skip the part where you have to be out of a house you already live in. Send us your closing date and we will work backward from it.
Our workmanship is guaranteed for one year. If the problem came from how we did the job, we come back and make it right at no cost to you. Product warranties on the finish itself vary by manufacturer, and we tell you exactly which finish you are getting before we start.
Our sanders vent into a sealed vacuum, which helps keep the dust from spreading through the house. And when the work is done, a post-construction cleaning is available for your convenience. We seal off the work area, and we tell you which finish we are using and how long the room needs before it is back in normal use.
You can, and plenty of people try. Two things usually go wrong. A rented drum sander leaves waves in the wood that you only notice once the finish is on and the light hits it. And the finish itself is unforgiving about dust, timing and temperature. A floor refinished twice costs more than a floor refinished once.
